The Quality of Reiki is Unconditional Love

Reiki

The natural state of people is health.

Reiki is a system of healing that was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 1800’s. The Usui System of Natural Healing utilizes universal life energy to heal. It is not a religion or belief system. It is a method by which a practitioner transfers Universal Life Force to another through the hands.

The quality of Reiki is Unconditional Love.

Every person is alive because they have Life Force flowing through them. The Life Force flows within the body through pathways called chakras, meridians, or nadis. They also flow around us in the Aura. Life force is diminished by negative thoughts or feelings, which then attach themselves to the energy field in the body which causes a disruption to the flow of life force. This diminishes the vital functions of the organs and cells in the body.

Reiki heals by flowing through the energy field causing the stagnant energy to break apart and move out of the body. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field which allows the life force to flow in a natural and healthy way. Because Reiki is guided by the Universal Life Force it can never cause harm.

Reiki supports the bodies natural ability to heal itself, it vitalizes the body and soul, it functions on all levels, including mind, body, and spirit, it balances the bodies energies, it loosens blocked energies and promotes a state of relaxation, it adjusts itself according to the needs of the recipient, and it just feels good!

I am a Reiki Master Teacher of 20 years in the Usui line.

I am a registered member of The Reiki Association.

THE SESSION

Reiki sessions are said to be very calming and restorative. I have heard clients say many times how at peace they feel after our time together. It is a great opportunity to relax and take some time for you.

At the beginning of the session we will have a chat about what is going on for you right now and see if there is anything in particular that needs special attention during the treatment. You then get to lie on the bed for an hour and enjoy your session.

Afterwards we will have a little time to chat if you need to talk about anything that came up or process any emotions.

MY TRAINING

I started my journey with Reiki back in 2001. I had heard about it from a few different places before realising that my dear friend was a Reiki Master. We talked a bit about what Reiki is and I felt into it and I knew that it was something that I wanted to do. I was initiated into Reiki I and II with her. Two beautiful days! I definitely felt a shift in myself after the first attunement and more after the second. Learning all the symbols and how they are used gave me such joy. I started using them everywhere and on everything.

I did not realise but this was opening my intuition and abilities to ‘see’ things more clearly. We practiced using our third eyes a lot during time. We both worked at a veterinary hospital, she a vet and I a vet assistant. I did Reiki on the animals and sent Reiki to the owners. I practiced on friends and trees in nature. I knew I wanted to become a Reiki Master.

My friend moved to Australia! That was a long way from Southern California. So I saved up my monies and went out there. It was beautiful, I loved it. I visited my dear friend and then I was on my way to discover the beauties of that land. I started in the West and headed East. It was in the little town of Echucha that I met another Reiki Master at her healing and spiritual centre. We became fast friends. On a lovely sunny day in December 2002 I was initiated as a Reiki Master. It was divine. I was so happy. That very day I initiated a lovely young man into Reiki I.

In that town there is a mighty river, I worked with that river sending Reiki to whom it touched, blessed it and played with the energies. I planted some of my crystals in that river, expanding the crystal grid on the planet. I am grateful to Betty for her kindness.

Later in 2008 my dear friend Catherine initiated me as a Reiki Master Teacher.

I am so blessed!

LINEAGE

In Reiki we like to trace our lineage back to Dr. Mikao Usui, the Japanese man who re-discovered how to heal the body and spirit. He studied theology, Zen Buddhism, English, Chinese sacred texts, and Sanskrit texts where he found a passage about ‘power’. So he decided to go up Mount Kurama-yama to meditate and fast for 21 days to find the source of the ‘power’. On the morning of the twenty first day he received a ray of light to his forehead and millions of tiny bubbles with golden figures in them that passed before him for him to learn.

He came down from the mountain and experienced many miracles. He stubbed his toe which ripped off the nail. He immediately sat down and put his hands on it because it hurt. When he took his hands away the toe was healed. He then helped a little girl with the tooth ache and a Zen bishop with his arthritis. He later went on to heal the beggars for seven years. He discovered that there needs to be an exchange for Reiki. Freely given it only heals the body and not the spirit.

Dr. Usui decided to leave off the beggar life and attain disciples to pass the teaching on to to help the whole of the world. He had eighteen. He passed the linage onto Chujiro Hayashi who then passed it onto Hawayo Takata. She spread Reiki far and wide so it would never die.
